PRESS RELEASE

The Municipality of Korthi is pleased to announce its’ participation in the program “Diabatis” in coordination with the companies FORTHnet, FORTHcrs and WINTOURS, the Foundation of Technology and Research, and the Municipalities of Arhanes, Gorgolaini, Temenos, Kazantzakis, Sifnos, and Tilisos.

The purpose of the program is to create an effective management and promotional information system for the cultural heritage and natural environment of the islands of Greece. The objective of this information system is to record, manage and promote the tourist, cultural and historic characteristics of certain areas of Greece supported by the already established promotional mechanisms for tourist promotions.

The program began with the signing of the agreement on July 7, 2003 and is scheduled for completion within 30 months. The total cost of the program is 840,393.43€
