Note: These results are unofficial and come from a research made by the Municipality of Korthi. There is no relation to the results maintained by the National Statistical Service, which is the only one qualified to issue the official results of the census.

The Municipality of Korthi wishes to thank all the people and associations in the area for their response. Thanks to this dynamic and responsible mobilization, The Municipality increased dramatically its population, proving its continuous strengthening, acquiring in this way increased impetus for its future progress.

Specifically, the population of the island exceeded 10000 people and the Municipality of Korthi increased its share in the island total from 22% to 28%, a very positive fact for the future.

Also, according to the results,  the Municipal Council will have 15 members in the future, while the representation of Paleokastro, which exceeded 300 people, will be upgraded, in the District Council, which will have five members, and in the Municipal Council, where the President of the District Council will participate as an equal member.

Unfortunately, this effort didn't yield similar results in all occasions. An example is Syneti, which despite its proximity to the 300 limit and consequently to its substantial upgrade, not only didn't manage to exceed it, but unfortunately its participation in the Municipality population decreased, with corresponding consequences.

The increase of the Municipality population produces greater responsibilities to its elected representatives, the Mayor and the members of the Municipal and District Councils, who should use this fact as a means for the development of the area, effectively and responsibly.

The Municipality of Korthi hopes that the census result will be the turning point for the reversal of the downgrade, a new start for facing the future with optimism, always supported by its people.
